The movie's stars and VIP guests walked the 2000 foot red carpet down Main Street USA to the delight of thousands of fans, many who had been waiting over 14 hours to catch a glimpse of their favorite star. Gay Pride rolls through the streets of West Hollywood

Several hundred thousand people lined both sides of Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood to see the annual Los Angeles Gay Pride Parade presented by Christopher Street West. Politicians such as Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and the entire West Hollywood City Council marched along with law enforcement leaders Los Angeles Chief of Police William Bratton and Los Angeles County Sheriff Leroy D. Miami White Party turns 21

In November Miami and Miami Beach saw white as thousands flocked to the city for the 21st annual Miami White Party at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens benefiting Care Resource. Celebrities and VIP's attended a pre party brunch at Club Casa Casuarina, the former Versace Mansion. Other events included the Muscle Beach Party and the New York Times sponsored Times Talks, a panel discussion of Gay and Lesbian issues. (see article and photos)

Disneyland California Celebrates 50th Anniversary

In a historic first, Disney parks, along with beloved Disney characters and various celebrities worldwide, came together for one spectacular “Golden Moment” as they collectively launched the “Happiest Celebration on Earth.” This first-ever global celebration commemorates the 50th anniversary of Disneyland, which opened in 1955, and five decades of Disney theme park magic. Human Rights Campaign Honors Barbra Streisand

In March hundreds turned out for the Human Rights Campaign's Annual Gala honoring Barbra Streisand, Storyline Entertainment’s Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, and the non-profit community service organization, Bienestar Human Services for their advocacy efforts on behalf of the Gay and Lesbian communities. Sir Ian McKellen Heads EuroPride Parade

More and more celebrities join the Gay Community in celebrating Gay Pride. The EuroPride celebration held in Manchester, United Kingdom featured Sir Ian McKellen as Grand Marshall. McKellen addressed the standing room only crowd opening the EuroPride Festival. Los Angeles Gay Pride featured Cyndi Lauper as the Grand Marshall and headline performer. (see article and photos)
